Senior Steppers
Founded in 2016, Montbello Walks is a thriving 501c3 nonprofit that harnesses the collective wisdom of residents to cultivate healing, connection, and transformation. Our SENIOR STEPPERS program serves adults ages 60+ of all walking abilities, intentionally weaving intergenerational experiences that honor elders while engaging younger community members.

More Than Movement
The Senior Steppers program doesn’t stop at physical health; it embraces wholeness. Participants enjoy farmers markets, picnics, cultural celebrations, and holiday events designed specifically for seniors. They also advocate with city governments to ensure elders receive the respect, resources, and protections they deserve.
Additionally every Monday, many Senior Steppers give back by volunteering at the Montbello Walks Mobile Food Pantry where, in turn, they receive a weekly box of fresh, healthy food to nourish themselves and their households.
Senior Steppers is a celebration of aging boldly with movement, joy, and community at the center. Whether walking through a local park or hiking a mountain trail, this program proves that it’s never too late to take powerful steps toward connection, health, and purpose.
